MBC’s Relay for Life organizers have shared an incriminating video of a sneaky Gladys the Squirrel swiping the basketball jerseys of seniors Sabrina Desper and Crystal Lewis in the hopes of raising a $300 "ransom" for the cancer awareness event March 16.

  News Leader > Mary Baldwin College hopes ‘The Laramie Project’ will combat hate
[Retired MBC professor Virginia] Francisco and much of the cast approached the play’s production with enthusiasm for its social justice message and as an educational tool for the community. Theater major and Mary Baldwin junior Danni Guy echoed Francisco’s sentiment and added, "We needed to shake up the (Staunton) community because it could happen here."

"For me, this was a team win. We knew coming into this game that we had to win this to further our season and ensure that we were going into the playoffs," Desper said, referring to how the Squirrels clinched a spot in USA South conference tournament with the victory.
