Mary Baldwin College will mark the start of renovations to Jesse Cleveland Pearce Science Center — and a new beginning for science education on the Staunton campus — at 4:30 p.m. today during a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony.

Judge Shirley Fulton knows that it makes a powerful statement when you are a "first." When she steps on the podium as Mary Baldwin College's 169th Commencement speaker May 22, Fulton will address a graduating class brimming with firsts.

Thursdays on Tyson Terrace

The May Term tradition, Thursdays on Tyson Terrace, or ToTTs, is back, combining the joys of food, drink, activities, and entertainment with a festive theme. Admission for faculty and staff is $5 and $7 for guests. 5 to 7 p.m., Tyson Terrace.
