Engineered BioPharmaceuticals, Inc. (eBio) currently has an opening for a Production Technician at its Danville, VA manufacturing facility. As a member of a fast paced, highly motivated team, you will assist with the production and filling of dry powder pharmaceuticals by operating our proprietary manufacturing equipment in a cleanroom environment. This position requires the use of independent judgment within the framework of established policies, procedures, and regulations in decisions regarding pharmaceutical manufacturing. eBio is a start-up company engaged in the production of dry powder pharmaceuticals for vaccine, therapeutic and bio-defense applications. Protein based pharmaceuticals must be carefully engineered to maximize stability and enable a wide array of state-of-the-art delivery modes. eBio was awarded a NIST TIP grant which was equally matched by the Virginia Tobacco Indemnification and Community Revitalization Commission. Though in our infancy, we expect to quickly grow and be among the leading dry powder processing companies in the world.
This position will include the following responsibilities:
•Assisting with startup, qualification and operation of the manufacturing equipment and aseptic production line
•Working knowledge of computers/general business software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, internet browsers, email, etc.)
•Communicating effectively and efficiently with the manufacturing, engineering, quality, and management team
•Maintaining the production line in accordance with SOPs, cGMP, cGLP , ISO and FDA regulations
•Performing environmental monitoring and testing of airborne particle counting, viable particle air sampling, particle surface sampling, and recovery testing
•Assisting with daily QA/QC activities such as line clearance and batch release
•Assisting in cleaning, maintaining, and assembly of manufacturing equipment and production/filling line
•Writing, reviewing, and following SOPs to ensure that all documentation remains current and in compliance with applicable regulations regarding aseptic production and filling.
Required Education and Experience:
The selected candidate will have a minimum of a high school diploma, exceptional computer and problem solving skills and good math and science skills. Prior experience in an aseptic ISO/FDA pharmaceutical automated manufacturing environment and knowledge of procedures is preferred. The candidate must be flexible and willing to adapt to multiple tasks on a daily basis.
