Human Resources Generalist

SUMMARY: This position will assist in administration of all human resources, benefit programs, policies and procedures associated with a full service Human Resources & Benefits department. Essential Functions: •Ensure company compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including reporting requirements. •Maintain, update, and create job descriptions for each position within the company. •Advise managers and employees on state and federal employment regulations, benefit practices, and policies/procedures. •Prepare reports as needed, analyze and summarize information, and provide feedback and suggestions based on information provided in the reports. •Assess need for and develop job analysis instruments and materials. •Observe, interview, and survey employees and conduct focus group meetings to collect job, organizational, and occupational information. •Assist in preparing and maintaining employee records, and files (active, inactive, & medical) and handbooks. •Assist with administering employee benefit plans. •Research employee wellness, health, and safety practices and recommend changes or modifications to existing policies. •Assist with development, implementation, administration, and evaluation of employee evaluation program. •Plan and develop curricula and materials for training programs and conduct training. •Establish and maintain relationships with managers and supervisors in order to stay abreast of current and future needs of the business. •Maintain current knowledge and participate in continuing education pertaining to HR related laws and guidelines. •Responsible for the day to day management of the drug testing program including test results and reconciliation of the invoice. •Create and maintain a compliance calendar for events including but not limited to: EEO-1 report, Mass Connector, Healthcare Reform, 401k, OSHA logs, etc. and prepare reports and documents for distribution. •Complete other tasks as assigned and assist with managing the following programs: FMLA, Disability, Worker's Compensation, Safety, etc. Assist Payroll department as needed.

Required Education and Experience:

•One to two years of related experience required. •Bachelor’s degree in related field is highly preferred. •PHR preferred. •Proficiency in MS Office required.
