Research intern
Intern should be keen to work for a cutting edge research and campaigning organization that works on energy, climate and social justice issues. They should be able to work from home or campus but would meet with me regularly. They need to have strong research and communication skills and some knowledge of energy and environmental issues. Also a keen interest in the den of vice and iniquity that is known as Capitol Hill would be of use.
Oil Change International Research Fellow
Oil Change International (OCI) campaigns to expose the true costs of fossil fuels and facilitate the coming transition towards clean energy. We are dedicated to identifying and overcoming political barriers to that transition.
OCI is a small and dynamic group that distinguishes itself by its cutting edge research and analysis of the fossil fuel industry. This is an opportunity to learn from and contribute to our growing reputation.
The Research Fellow will support the organization’s research on the North American fossil fuel industry, including work on tar sands and the Keystone XL pipeline, fossil fuel subsidies and fracking. The Fellow will also help to generate and maintain data in our Dirty Energy Money database: see www.dirtyenergymoney.org . This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of one of the most exciting organizations working on energy and environment issues today.
Responsibilities:
•Update and maintain data on North America’s fossil fuel companies.
•Develop and maintain a system for responding to congressional votes related to our work.
•Conduct occasional quick reference research as and when necessary.
•Assist in developing the clear communication of our research findings.
