Assessment Tools
If you have not yet declared a major or are unsure what type of career you would like to pursue, you may want to complete a career assessment. These inventories are free to students and provide valuable feedback regarding personal work interests, values, and abilities. Before completing one of these assessments, speak with a career counselor about your options. Some assessments may be more appropriate and helpful for your exploration than others. A career counselor will provide you with the paper inventory or direct you to an online assessment. After completion, meet with the career counselor once again to discuss the results and interpret their meaning. This will provide you with some next steps for further exploration and help you make a decision that is best for you and your future.
