Position: Regional Operations Coordinator
Description: Mary Baldwin College has a 40 hr/week opening for a Regional Operations Coordinator (ROC). Position provides student support and secretarial/administrative assistance in the MBC Regional Office at Piedmont Virginia Community College, Charlottesville, Virginia. The ROC position:

--Requires excellent organizational, communication, customer service and secretarial skills, including experiences with MS Office software.

Position: Staff Assistant - Adult Degree Program
Description: The Adult Degree Program office at Mary Baldwin College has an opening for a Staff Assistant. This is an 18-hour per week, entry-level position. Rate of pay is $10 per hour. Position: System Administrator-Computer & Information Services
Description: Full time position available in a fast paced College Computer Support environment. We are seeking a bright, energetic, and responsible system administrator. This position requires a high degree of business, technical and communication skills. The minimal education requirement for the position is a B.A./B.S. in Computer Science, or its equivalent in work experience. Also required is a minimum of three years experience in system administration. Professional certifications with Windows Server (MCSE certification) and Cisco (CCNA certification) layered products is desired. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, excel at troubleshooting, be a team player, and have a keen interest in technology. Must be able to work independently, be detail oriented, professional and courteous, and have objective analytical skills. Position also requires the occasional lifting and movement of equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.

RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY:
Maintain, administer, and install complex local and wide-area systems based on NT and Unix operating systems, including system interaction on the WEB. Provide technical assistance to users; resolve systems problems, including LAN/WAN connectivity and Web interface problems; and manage and troubleshoot operating systems.

GENERAL TASK RESPONSIBILITY
• Server systems administration (install, maintain, and administer)
• LAN, WAN and VPN systems administration
• Email systems administration
• QoS (Quality of Service) TCP/UDP Protocol Prioritization
• Network and Desktop support for users
• General infrastructure support

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• Experience with Windows XP, Windows 2003/2000 Servers and Workstations
• Experience with Linux and/or Sun Solaris Unix
• Active Directory & Group Policy Experience
• Understanding of fundamental information security principles
• Administrative Maintenance Scripting using VB Script /ADSI
• Knowledge of email systems (SMTP/POP3/IMAP)
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, WINS, and DNS
• Understanding of routers and switch configuration and administration
• Firewall configuration and administration including VPN / DMZ
• Extensive hardware and application troubleshooting skills.
• Server performance monitoring and capacity planning
• Ability to work well under pressure, and keep abreast of current technology
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:
• Experience with IIS Administration
• Experience with MS SharePoint Administration

GENERAL:

Position: Assistant/Associate Director of PEG Admissions
Description: Responsibilities include: the successful recruitment and enrollment of students; professional representation of Mary Baldwin College to all external and internal constituencies; and day and evening recruitment activities involving travel, conducting interviews, and general office assignments.
